Signed alongside Australian supermodels Jesinta Franklin, Shanina Shaik, Tahnee Atkinson and Adelaide’s own Akiima, IMG model Hollie Brown has been chosen as the face of the Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley 2018 campaign.
Born in the UK and living in Adelaide since she was 10, Hollie was discovered by Finesse Models and quickly catapulted to the world stage, signing with global agency IMG in 2017.
Hollie appeared in a campaign for SA bridal label Calèche Bridal prior to be chosen as the AFF18 campaign face by AFF Creative Director Chris Kontos.
“I was so surprised but super excited when I found out the news after meeting Chris,” says Brown.
“It still feels extremely surreal but I am so happy I was chosen.”
The AFF18 campaign was shot earlier this year on the picturesque salt ground of Lake Bumbunga in South Australia. You can see our behind the scenes wrap up here.
“The fact that the weather was extremely windy, yet [around] 30 degrees, made the shoot challenging and fun,” she says. “I think my most memorable moment was all of the amazing people who were there for me!”
Dressed in a selection of our best South Australian designers and shot by world-renowned photographer Georges Anotni, Hollie was in good company for the shoot.
“There were so many amazing garments in the shoot, but I loved wearing the long skirts that trailed at the back. It made me feel so powerful and in charge.”
Along with Hollie and Georges, the campaign was brought to life by AFF Creative Director, Chris Kontos; Vogue Australia Fashion Editor, Philippa Moroney; Deni and Marco from our Creative Agency Cul-de-sac; Hair Creative Director for Clip Joint, Atilio Dusa, who used Evo products; Media Makeup’s Makeup Director, Bec Cochrane; and the AFF team.
The 17-year old model is set to appear on the runway at this year’s AFF for the first time.
“I am really looking forward to just being in the presence of the AFF, and am so excited to meet all of the amazing models and designers.” she says.
