Behind the scenes of the AFF18 campaign

Imagine 18 hours spent on the salt ground of Lake Bumbunga, South Australia in 34°C heat and 60 knot winds. 

There’s no denying it was a grueling day.

Thank goodness for our cool creatives – the A Team who made the Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley vision come to life. Special mentions to AFF Creative Director, Chris Kontos; Vogue Fashion Editor, Philippa Moroney; Deni and Marco from our Creative Agency Cul-de-sac; Hair Creative Director for Clip Joint, Atilio Dusa, who used Evo products; Media Makeup’s Makeup Director, Bec Cochrane; and our fantastic photographer, Georges Antoni. And, of course, the AFF team.

Our subject: a hot, new model dressed in a selection of our best South Australian designers like never before.

While Georges snapped away, the wind fought with our main source of sun protection, our Bunnings wide-brimmed straw hats. To say we were thankful for the shelter of the Mercedes-Benz vans supplied by our presenting partner Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley would be an understatement.

All in all, it was a productive day with thousands of frames shot thanks to the collaborative efforts of our hardworking team. But the results are incredible, and we cannot wait to share them with you when the campaign launches later this year.
