Biggest bridal trends from Paris Haute Couture Week

With one of Adelaide’s biggest fashion names showcasing his upcoming collection, it comes as no surprise we have had eyes on Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. And with wedding season looming ahead, we thought we’d delve into some of the biggest bridal trends to walk the Parisian runways.

All that glitters

Eye-catching beading, pearls, crystals and stones were spotted on many a model this past week. From Giorgio Armani to Ralph and Russo and Georges Shobeika, embellishments were big, bold and varied.

The bride wore… colour

Gone are the days where the bride wears white. We saw pastel green from Chanel, pale blues from Giambattista Valli and Paolo Sebastian, and a dozen shades of nude. Daring, disruptive and down-right beautiful, we say.

Sexy sheers

Layers, layers, layers

Jackets, coats and blazers. Lace, tulle and sheer overlays. Multi-tiered skirts and gowns. A little boning and exposed corset, too. Oh, we are in love.
