Good Studios was founded in 2012 by Adelaide based production designer and stylist Anny Duff as a sustainable clothing and homewares label championing hemp fabrics, and exploring classic contemporary design.
The philosophy behind the name is to celebrate ethical values and highlight a local collaborative approach. Good Studios is built on the philosophy that we all have a responsibility to seek out good business practices and represent positive change in the fashion industry.
Following a simple timeless monochromatic colour palette with pops of colour and texture, the collections explore capsule seasonal ranges running alongside core trans- seasonal and limited edition pieces. Working predominantly with luxurious hemp linens, hemp organic cotton blends of jersey and twill, as well as recycled nylon swimwear and 100% premium South Australian wool knits, Good Studios draws inspiration from the beauty and simplicity of the natural environment and cultures that embrace minimalist aesthetics, like Japan and Scandinavia.
In 2016 Good Studios opened the doors to its first collaboration store in Tokyo with the brand’s Japanese distributers, Birkenstock Japan, with more Tokyo stores opening soon.
