Marco Cicchianni, Creative Director

With a distinctive approach to typography and image-making, Marco’s career has produced an impressive and diverse portfolio. As a leading art director and designer, before establishing Cul-de-sac Creative, Marco worked with major agencies and studios in Sydney and Melbourne. He was also principal in Sydney boutique creative agency Cicchianni Malone, heading one of Australia’s first known ethical agencies.

Now Adelaide based, Marco has created integrated branding campaigns for a number of high profile state clients including South Australian Tourism Commission, Australian String Quartet, Adelaide Festival Centre and Tandanya National Aboriginal Cultural Institute.

Deni Jones, Style Director

Deni has worked for prestige global brands in Milan, London and Sydney before relocating to Adelaide in 2004. As PR & Marketing Manager for Giorgio Armani Int. she established and promoted the iconic brand’s retail presence in Australia. Moving to magazines, her work as Executive Fashion Editor on marie claire Australia shaped a strong passion and respect for producing, branding and styling fashion, interior and lifestyle photographic assignments.

Deni’s reputation in this area has since secured an impressive line up of clients including: Burnside Village, Armadillo & Co, House & Garden Australia, Home Beautiful, InsideOut, Adelaide Fashion Festival, RAA Insurance, Palas Jewellery, Pulteney Grammar School, Nurlanthi Fashion Performance for Spirit Festival and The Waterhouse Prize for the South Australian Museum.

About the 2017 AFF campaign

Bold and architectural, the look for Adelaide Fashion Festival 2017 is inspired by modernist abstract artists and Adelaide’s evolution and energy around innovative design.

South Australian-born artists such as Sydney Ball, Peter Cole and Marnie Gilder are leaders in the genre and their work with colour, shape and form is brave and mirrors the bold approach of AFF.
