It’s time to Party on Vardon in Celebration of Vogue Festival

Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley and Vogue Festival are nearly upon us, promising a showcase of creative expression, thought-provoking narratives and all that is dominating the runways worldwide. In between the flurry of parades, masterclasses, exclusive events and shopping, you may just need a breather and some (lots of) bubbles.

It’s no secret that Adelaideans love a tipple, good tunes and a street party. The fantastic traders on Vardon Place are combining all three to present Party on Vardon in Celebration of Vogue Festival on 19 October, 4pm to 11pm.

Let’s talk drinks.

Vardon Avenue is already an Adelaide essential for the thirsty masses, but the street party will see favourites like East End Cellars, Mother Vine, NOLA and The William Bligh reimagining your usual experience. Pol Rogerand Santa Vittoriawill be adding a euro chic spin on what you are sipping. The Pol Roger Champagne Bar will (of course) be serving flutes of deliciousness alongside 78 Pink Sunset Gin concoctions. Staying refreshed will be stylishly-simple thanks to Santa Vittoria with complimentary mineral water and Italian soft drinks.

Street style food simply makes sense for this soirée. East End Cellars are dishing up a chicken and chorizo paella while The William Bligh will be fulfilling your wildest taco fantasies with a fried chicken taco and a pulled jackfruit taco. You can also snap up a delicious butternut pumpkin quesadilla with beetroot dip or some fried chicken goodness by Lemongrass. Shibui Dessert Bar is sweetening the situation with fried ice cream sandwiches and fairy floss.

If you’re a boutique bar regular there’s a good chance you’ve gotten down to the sounds of DJ Troy J Been. His weighty vinyl collection is a global affair with the likes of New York City Disco and Brazilian Bossa Nova and is guaranteed to inspire curious ears and wiggling hips.

We get it. The fashionista life can be tough. Fear not though, Janesce are offering complimentary hand massages with their Softening Hand Lotion from 4pm to 7pm. You can then capture your post-massage glow with a polaroid from the Instagram booth.

If you are extra committed to immortalising your best Vogue Festival self, wander over to Naomi Murrell on Ebenezer Place for a custom fashion illustration portrait while you’re treated to some Deliquente Wine Co fizz and tunes by DJ Ruby Chew.

We can’t wait to see you there!
