Our faves from AFF18 so far

We are three days into the 2018 Adelaide Fashion Festival presented by Mercedes-Benz Adelaide & Unley, and we have been left in awe of the incredible looks that have hit the runway and the streets of Adelaide.

Check out some of the incredible shots captured by our photographers below!

This photo of Jillian Davison and Edwina McCann exudes the confidence and warmth with which they spoke at the sold-out again Vogue’s Kitchen event. Discussing the extensive but thoughtful process behind each and every story on the pages of Vogue Australia, Jillian and Edwina gave the intimate crowd an insightful look at the fashion industry. Both are truly admirable women and we were so honored to have them part of AFF18. Photo by Meaghan Coles Photography.

Each year we love to see some of Australia’s top influencers attend AFF and immerse themselves in the South Australian fashion industry. This year we’ve already seen top fashion identities such as Anna Heinrich, Rozalia Russian and Lana Wilkinson at events throughout the AFF program. Vydia Rishie is also in Adelaide for AFF, and we loved capturing this stunning street style shot of her infront of the AFF X White Marquee Grounds wearing Acler. Photo by Meaghan Coles Photography.

For those lucky enough to attend the spectacular Opening Night of AFF18 – Paolo Sebastian presented by Mercedes Benz Adelaide & Unley – we were all honored to be in the presence of a true marriage of art, music and fashion. Set to a soundtrack of a live performance by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, performing no less pieces from The Nutcracker, which Paolo Sebastian based his newest collection on. This look was the closing look of the collection, which coincided with a moving crescendo in the ASO’s performance that gave just about everyone in the room goosebumps. Every year we don’t think we can fall more in love with Paolo Sebastian, and then it happens. Photo by Meaghan Coles Photography.

If there was ever a depiction of our thriving South Australian fashion industry, it was the SA Designer Showcase presented by Spendless Shoes. Jam packed full of designers from right here at home, the atmosphere was electric with a pumping soundtrack. We loved seeing not only so many ready-to-wear SA designers, but how some of them were paired together with incredible styling by Vogue Australia’s Pip Moroney. The SA Designer Showcase most importantly showed that it’s easier than ever to shop local, as there’s truly something for everyone from the designers here!  Photo by Meaghan Coles Photography.

Behind the scenes of the Couture Culture presented by Burnside Village Runway featuring Caleche [pic: Lucas Dawson]

What’s couture without a little fun? We adore this photo of our gorgeous models having some fun backstage in the latest bridal collection by Caleche. The looks were beyond perfect for the modern bride who wanted a unique and playful outfit for their special day. We also saw looks from the likes of Couture+Love+Madness, Tridente, Varacalli Couture and many more! Photo by Lady Drewniak Photography.
